Influenced by her many travels as a child of Air Force parents, Sonja Denyse developed a love for expressing through entertainment in her youth. Plays, school dance competitions, choir, color guard and culinary. Today, she expresses her talents through FM radio and more. Employed by Entercom, a nationally-owned radio station achieving number 1 in her day parts along with a nomination for radio personality of the year from the Wichita Professional Broadcasters Association and morning show for KSJM Wichita.

With a desire to "make it big" in New York, Sonja Denyse has set her sights on a move that continues to bear fruit to this day. She has excelled in FM radio by landing a gig covering a daypart and half with Jammin 107.7, as well as achieving many firsts in the area: being the only On-Air African-American woman in the area, as well as tying for 1st place 13-54 people with a heritage station, allowed to bring Jammin 107.7 radio station into Mohegan Sun (Mohegan Sun has a radio station)  She is currently on 96.7 FM The Buzz in Rhode Island.

Sonja Denyse has expanded into acting, playing six roles in an off-Broadway hit, '69 Ain't Just A Number' performed at the legendary Producers Club in NYC, extra roles in movies such as Fighting & Righteous Kill, She also landed a spokesperson role for the legendary The Patrice O'Neal, on his “Patrice O’Neal Show Coming Soon”.

Her radio vision expanded to the Internet when she began working for a BET award-winning hip-hop website called AllHipHop.com, powered by Goom Radio. Goom Radio was the first national online radio station broadcasting from the old famous Z100 studios. Working for highly respected Tim Herbster, a.k.a. Romeo, Sonja Denyse held the opening/closing morning show wrapping The Eric B (from Eric B and Rakim) morning show for Goom Radio. Sonja Denyse, along with DJ Hotday, co-hosted BacktoThe90's, a twitter request live show that now is hosted by Romeo on all Clearchannel stations.

Streaming had yet to become mainstream, Goom Radio has closed its signal a catalyst for Sonja to own her own on-line stations. WTSR, WMBR and later Velvet Mill radio an on-line B2B radio station in brick and mortar mall in Stonington CT. Her success with online radio stations garnered her recognition from the city of West Haven by selecting her to broadcast said station for city events such as the Farmers Market, Emcee for the Tree-Lighting ceremony and Emcee She also was a special guest DJ for the Mayor's Advisory Council & University of New Haven's 'WestFest' festival. This year will be her 5th year hosting.

Sonja Denyse is currently a DJ for Empire Cruises in NYC and has performed on the Hudson for New Year’s Eve 5 years counting as a DJ. Schools, corporate events, weddings, private parties, and has even has played for a celebrity or two.
